Coldplay hold the current UK number one single this week, after hitting the top spot yesterday (June 22nd) with their song 'Viva La Vida'.

The track wasn't actually released as a single, but as it sold so well through download sales it scored the group their first number one.

Chris Martin and band enjoyed similar success in the U.S. last week, after topping the Billboard charts.

Coldplay are also number one in the UK album charts with their fourth long-player - also named 'Viva La Vida'.
