Fans boo Slipknot stunt

SLIPKNOT became easily the most hated band of this year’s Leeds Festival, by
pulling out - and then flying a PLANE over the site advertising their
upcoming tour.
The masked metallers were one of the big draws for ticket buyers, many of whom
were left bitterly disappointed when the US rockers withdrew due to injury.
But during an afternoon set by DROPKICK MURPHYS, an aircraft flew
overhead brandishing a banner proclaiming ‘Slipknot UK tour tickets on
sale’.
It was met with huge boos from the crowd.
And a withering response from the Dropkicks who proclaimed: “It’s rubbing
salt into the wounds.”
